Mrs Sarah A. Barber died in LeRoy Dec. 9, 1908. Born in Franklin County, Ohio Nov. 12, 1820 and was married to Jerome Barber, April 14, 1843. In 1850, this couple came to Illinois and located near Jacksonville. In 1864, they moved on to a farm in McLean County. In 1868 they came to LeRoy, and since the death of her husband in 1894, she made her home with her son Henry Barber in LeRoy. She was the mother of four children, two of whom survive. They are Henry P. Barber of LeRoy and Mary Cooper of Argenta, Ill. She was a member of the M.E. Church. Burial Oak Grove Cemetery.
