Thank you, John. Jemima, the daughter of John and Jemima, I have info as follows:Juanita Luttrell Berrian - Gateley Family Genealogy Forum No 103, John Gatley b. abt 1763-1768,m Jemima Mime Messer Jan. 30, 1787 in Caswell Co. NC. Children: Jemima Gately b. abt 1802 NC, m. Samuel Bradshaw 7/20/1819 Caldwell Co. KY. d. in Webster county, Missouri. My ggg-grandmother. John Gately, Sally Gately b. abt 1793 m. Aaron Smith 7/7/1812 in Caldwell, KY, Nancy Gately m. Thomas James Jr. on 9/15/1813 Caldwell Co. KY.
HOWEVER, given the dates of the birth of the children, I have my doubts that this is the correct "Jemima". Do you have the listed children for the Pitts marriage as well as the Bradshaw marriage? Many of us have been back and forth about "Jemima" and it would be a blessing if we had some legal proof to clear up the doubts. My doubts rest with the children Jemima had for Levi Solomon ranging from May 1816 through c 1838 whereas the Bradshw children range from 1820 through 1843. I don't believe this Jemima could have managed that. I don't have another wife for Samuel Bradshaw, so I am at a loss to understanding the information provided me so far. Perhaps there is someone out there who has better information and will read and help us out.

Do you happen to know how Lucy Gately who married Jacob Burch 1 July 1809 in Person Co., NC might fit into this family? The Burches generally lived on south Hyco Creek near the Caswell/Person county line, though I don't know much specifically about this Jacob Burch. I would like to learn what became of Jacob and Lucy (Gately) Burch.

A puzzling matter is that I have found another marriage of a Jemima Gately to a Samuel Bradshaw of about the same date. If someone can clear this up, I would appreciate it. Apparently this is another Jemima, but it also appears that she might have married Bradshaw :
