North Tazewell, VA - Vivian Virginia Mulkey, 94, of North Tazewell, died Thursday, April 17 , 2003 in a Tazewell, VA hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Mulkey was born at Cedar Bluff, VA, and was a daughter of the late Henry Clay Trivette a nd Tiny Maria Maxwell Trivette, both Tazewell County natives.
Mrs. Mulkey had made her home at North Tazewell most of her life. She was a former employee o f General Instrument Corporation of North Tazewell. She was a member of Pounding Mill Christi an Church.
She was the widow of Andrew Jackson Mulkey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was p receded in death by one son-in-law, James Waddell, four sisters, Lillian Hoops, Dora Peery, A nnie Angles and Elora Whittaker, and two brothers, Joseph Trivette and Roy Trivette.
Her survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wilovene Waddell of North Tazewell, three sons, Kenn eth Mulkey and his wife Rachel, of North Tazewell, Nelson Mulkey and his wife Mary Etta, of N orth Tazewell, and Raymond Mulkey and his wife Nancy, of Bluefield, VA, one sister, Mrs. Mar y Rader of Pearisburg, VA, one brother, William Trivette of Florence, KY, 11 grandchildren an d 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 PM at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel <../hurst.htm l> in Tazewell with the Revs. Lance West and Ron Carpenter officiating. Interment will follo w at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Mulkey, Greg Mulkey, Michael Mulkey, Andy Waddell, Scott Mulkey an d Adam Waddell.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of Pounding Mill Christian Church.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 PM Sunday evening.
