  • ID: I598
  • Name: Abraham Brown * Storms 1
  • Sex: M
  • Birth: 14 APR 1801 in Bergen Co., NJ
  • Baptism: 03 MAY 1801 Dutch Reformed Church, Paramus, Bergen Co., NJ
  • Death: 24 MAY 1854 in Pascack, Bergen Co., NJ 2
  • Death: 21 MAY 1854 in Pascack, Bergen Co., NJ 2
  • Note:
Abraham B. Storms, husband of Euphemia Smith and father of 12 children, is ALMOST CERTAINLY the same as Abraham Storm, born 14 April 1801, christened 3 May 1801 Dutch Reformed Church, Paramus, Bergen Co., NJ, son of Staats Storm(s) (christened 14 December 1755, son of Hendrick Storm and Cornelia Van der Beek) and Christina Ackerson (see transcribed posting to STORMS-L Rootsweb message board, below). Although he may in fact be a son of Staats' second wife (?), Margrietje (note the birth gap between siblings Cornelia, 1789, and Susannah, 1798 -- as well as the name of his first child, Margaret). According to the database "New Jersey Deaths and Burials, 1720-1988" <http://search.labs.familysearch.org/>, he died in Pascack, Bergen Co., NJ on 24 May 1854, age 54, marital status given as single - probably because of divorce. See censuses below (esp.1850, when he is living with daughter Margaret), in which he has children, and continually lives near the same group of people in Washington Twp., Bergen Co., NJ.
