  • Note:
    The Robert Lewis 21 in 1860 was the father of Eugenia Lottie B Lewis who m1 ? Neville, m2 John Franklin Cullom, son of Benjamin F Cullom. Robert was listed in the home of Egbert Lewis in 1850. Egbert is probably of some close kin to Samuel Henry Lewis, probably his uncle. Almost all of Samuel Henry Lewis's children married descendants of David Cullom and Martha Matilda Pittman. But one Lewis child married a son of Joel Cullom by his second wife. There was a very strong Lewis connection.

    In February 1851, the Halifax County court appointed Fred N. McWilliams guardian of the orphans of Egbert Lewis. The children named were Robert B., Jesse A., and Melissa J. Lewis
