Text: Yes I have a Matthew Elder married to Jane Lowry in my Elder line. I have
that they were married 26 Dec 1838 in Coshocton, Ohio. In a history that
one of Matthew's children wrote they spelled Lowry LOWARY. I have another
history of the Elders my grandfather did and his spelling was LOWRY.
Children I have per IGI is Thomas Elder born abt 184l Warsaw, Coshoctin,
Ohio Martha J. Elder abt. 1843 Coshocton, Ohio--Margaret Elder born Jan
1845--William Elder born abt 1847 Tingley, Ohio, Mathew Elder born 6 Jan
1848 Tingley, Ohio--Samuel Elder abt 1851 Chisolm, Ohio Albert Elder abt 1853
(the IGI shows 2 birthdates and diff states buy same parents) John Elder abt
1854 Albia, Monroe, Iowa--James Elder Mar 1857 Albia, Monroe, Iowa--Robert A.
Elder May 1859 Albia, Monroe, Iowa--Alexander Elder born 1860 Iowa-- male
child died in infancy. In 1850 they moved from Ohio to Monroe County Iowa
12 children one was author of our Elder history. IGI lists children in 2 diff
orders. I wold be interested in a birth date, death date, place for Jane
