Alfred F. Proulx, 77, of 320 Lowell St., Lawrence, who died Saturday night at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Jamaica Plain, leaves among his survivors a son, Alfred T. Proulx of this city. ****

Alfred F. Proulx, 77, 320 Lowell St., died Saturday night at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Jamaica Plain, following a long illness.
Mr. Proulx was born in Freemont, N.H. He had lived here for 60 years and before his retirement, worked for the Lawrence Gas Co. He was a US Army veteran of World War I. He attended St. Anne's Church.
He leaves six daughters, Yvonne, wife of Lawrence Cunningham, and Theresa, wife of Roland Plourde, both of Haverhill, Irene, wife of John Begley, Jr., and Doris, wife of Joseph A. Theberge, both of this city, Marie, wife of Edmond Legendre of Franklin, and Jeannette, wife of Raymond Barbo of Chevy Chase, Md.; a son, Alfred T. Proulx of Haverhill; 34 grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews
The funeral will be held Wednesday from the Edgar J. Racicot, Inc. Funeral Home, 256 Broadway, with a solemn high Mass of requiem at 9 a.m. in St. Anne's Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, andover.
Friends may call today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. ****

Alfred F. Proulx: The funeral of Alfred F. Proulx, 320 Lowell St., who died Saturday, was held Wednesday from the Edgar J. Racicot, Inc. Funeral Home, with a solemn high Mass of requiem in St. Anne's Church at 9 a.m. Rev. Henry Fluet, S.M. was celebrant' Rev. Louis Cote, S.M. deacon, and Rev. Antoine Charest, S.M. pastor, sub-deacon. Organist was Mrs. Anna T. Desjardins. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover, where Father Fluet conducted committal services.
Bearers were: Tomas Proulx, Daniel Proulx, Roland Plourde, James Begley, John Cunningham, and Leo Legendre. ****
