When 12 years of age Mr. Rosenberger began working on a farm in the neighborhood, attending the public school of the village for five months in the year. Being devoted to his books, he made the best of these short terms and at age of 16, was granted a teacher's provisional certificate. At the beginning of the term of 1888-89, he started the work of teaching, taking charge of the public school at Geryville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The following two terms he taught he taught a Spinnerstown, and then for three terms the Milford Square grammar school, all in Milford, Bucks County. During these years he availed himself of the advantages which the Normal school of the district, located at West Chester offered, attending the spring sessions. During the term of 1894-95, he had charge of the study room at the Normal, in the meantime pursuing his studies. Entering the senior class next term, he graduated in the Elementary course. Before completing the work of the course, he had been elected to the principalship of the schools of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and entering upon his duties at the opening of the term of 1895-1896. He is devoted to the calling which claims him and is eminently successful in it. He is actively identified with the various educational interests of this county, having served as vice president of the Annual Teacher's Institute and as president of the Principals Association of the county, besides doing work on important committees. He has from his early years been deeply interested in religious activities. While attending Normal school, he was active in the work of the Y.M.C.A. At present he is a trustee of the Mennonite church at Quakertown and is active in Sunday school and Young People's Accociation work. For two years he was assistant editor of the Mennonite, the organ of the church of his choice.
