Stella Sono Shimatsu of Kekaha, HI passed away on September 12, 2012 in Fullerton, [Orange Co.] CA at the age of 94. Born on October 25, 1917 in Mana Kauai, Hawaii, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yoshiharu Shimatsu.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin and Lance; daughters Eileen Cabinte and Janice Blankenship; brothers Seichi, Kiyoichi, Jack and Roku Kanekuni; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
No services were held. Arrangements were handled by McAulay & Wallace Mortuary.

Stella Sono Shimatsu of Kekaha passed away on September 12, 2012 in Fullerton, [Orange Co.], CA at the age of 94. She was born on October 25, 1917 in Mana and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yoshihara Shimatsu.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin (Suzanne) and Lance, both of Boise, Idaho; daughters, Eileen (Al) Cabinte of California and Janice (Stan) Blankenship of Alabama; brothers, Seichi (Teiko) Kiyoichi, Jack (Kimie) and Roku (Hazel) Kanekuni; 7 grandsons, 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at West Side Christian Center, 8401 Kekaha Road, with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m.
