Enlisted in Col. John Bailey's regiment and served throughout the Revolution. He was with Genl. Washington at the crossing of the Delaware the night of Dec 25, 1776, Battle of Trenton the following day, at Valley Forge, and at Yorktown Va fro the surrender of Lord Corwallis. He was a cousin of Genl. Joseph Warren who was killed at the battle of Bunker Hill.
