            Note: Gene Autry Jewell, 72, of Radford, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at his home. He was a retired employee of Yokahoma Tire Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Holt and Iva Rogers Jewell; four sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include a wife, Virginia Rose Scott Jewell, of Radford; two daughters, Wanda Reed and fiance, David Burton, of Dublin, and Roxie and husband, John Reed, of Radford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Christine Hollins, of Riner, and Larry and Barbara Hollins, of Dublin; eight grandchildren, Karen Smith, Sharon Robertson, Eric Reed, Darrell Hollins, Teresa Sykes, Sheri Barnett, Michelle Rice and Stephanie Hollins; nine greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special pets, Jacque and Pedi. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at East Radford Church of God with the Rev. Wayne Poston, the Rev. James Walker and the Rev. K.B. Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2008, at Mullins Funeral Home. The Jewell family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com .
