NOTE from John Davis : The John Davis that was 24 in the 1870 census was my grandfather. He, his wife and some of his children, along with his brother Jeremiah, his wife and some children, brother Thomas and his wife and some children, and the mother of these Davis brother, Martha (Patsy) Jewel Davis, are all buried at the Pleasant Grove cemetery in Eastern Linn County, Missouri, near where they had settled by 1870. I now own the property on which most were living in 1870.
