    From letter dated 12/8/1997 From Bea King, Christiansburg VA
    "I well remember my great grandmother- Louisa Orba Stone. She was a fancy lady and insisted upon every one of us children be spotlessly clean. The house had to be cleaned from one end to the other when she was coming to visit. She was a diabetic and took insulin, was on a special diet and stuck to it. We called her Granny Cromer. She was a stone and married Joseph Evans Sweeney. (I never knew him.) Her second marriage was to Harvey Cromer and they lived between Christiansburg and Blacksburg on the Yellow Sulphur Road. Had a farm and raised cows and chickens. Harvey Cromer was somewhat of a drinker and spent many Sundays riding in a black buggy and hauling his friends around. They ate cheese and drank moonshine. Granny Cromer objected to that but outlived him."
