From the notes of Wilbur van Over:
"Sarah Cordelia "Delia" Turner was the sixth child of Robert Martin Turner and Sarah Jane Curry Turner from Ohio. They were married in 1834 when she was 13 years old and he was 15. On the 1850 census was listed Robert Turner with 6 months old daughter named Sarah. Her parents died when she was about 4 years old (she in 1853 and he in 1854). She then went to live with her grandparents, Samuel B. Turner and Jane Irwin Turner, his second wife. They both died when she was about 9 years ol (she in 1858 and he in 1859). Sarah was then adopted by a family named Hulick, and her sister, Mary A. Turner went to live with a family named Tutton or Tutton (/) who lived in the same area. Maria Hulick, Sarah's foster mother, must have been David Thomas Harper's aunt, Maria Harper Hulick, sister to his father, David Harper. David Thomas and Sarah Cordelia were married on December 24, 1866.
