      JEWELL, Edwin Raynard, 95, of Cherry Hill, N.J., formerly of Roanoke, died Saturday, June 17, 1995, in a Cherry Hill Hospital. He was a retired accountant and partner in Brown, Edwards, and Company. Prior to entering the field of accounting, he was a telegraph operator for the Norfolk and Western and the Virginia Railroads. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Roanoke, where he served as a Trustee, Chairman of the Board of Deacons and the Finance Committee; teacher of the Businessmen's Bible Class; Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Family Life Center; and President of the Men's Brotherhood. He had been an active member of Melrose Baptist Church before his association with First Baptist and was on the general board of the Baptist General Association of Virginia from 1966 until 1973. He was a life member of the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke and a member of Melrose Lodge, the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and the Kazim Temple. He was precdeceased by his wife, Blanche M. Jewell. Survivors are two daughters and son-in-law, Rozella J. Bower, Cinnaminson, N.J., Nellrena J. and Ronald D. Carr, Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Leisel G., Kristen R. and Dorothy L. Bower all of Cinnaminson, N.J., Wendyll D. Carr, Nashville, Tenn., Martha Gayle Hughes, Knoxville, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Colin Hughes; two sisters, Nina J. Burdette of Alexandra, Lorene J. Evans of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Landon R. Jewell, Browns Mills, N.J.
