She was born in Russell, Ky. on November 29, 1900, the daughter of the late Freeman Russ and Emma Smith Russ Glass. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Garland R. Jewell. She was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mae J. McCaul, Vancouver, Wash., Dorothy J. Hare, Buena Vista, Eva Taylor, Christiansburg; two sons
