There is a story that Ellen wanted to be closer to her family and persuaded William to make the move to this piece of land. It proved to be too close and the marriage ended in divorce. However a search of the Atlas Index shows no one by the name of Bussell but a F. L. Myers also owns part of Section 8 in Kennedy Township. There is no one with the name Bussell on the 1910 Census of Kennedy Township. There is however a Henry Bussell, 56 and his wife Mary Ann, 49, both born in England in Chester Township, Douglas County. The farm was near Armour SD which sits very near the County line with Douglas County so these may have been Ellen's parents.
