Thomas Weeks' temple book lists his father as being born 1n 1794 at Kingwood, Bristol, England. At that time Kingswood (or Kingswood Forest) was not a parish but was adjacent to St. George, Stapleton, Bitton (including Oldland and Hanham), Siston, Pucklechurch and Mangotsfield. In the 1841 census of Dudley (Kates Hill area) F#464207 ED 28, William Weeks, age 40 (40 to 45), coal miner, Y. In the 1851 census of Dudley (F#87440), for Kates Hill p 43, sheet 236 at #152 Bacon Row) Willm Wicks, head, married, 55, labourer, from Glouces, Bristol.
Thomas' temple book also indicates Thomas is a nephew to John Perkins of Bristol and lists a Martha Weeks of Bristol (perhaps William's sister).
