OBIT: Mrs. Bertha Lois Calhoun died July 17 following Long Illness... Mrs. Bertha Lois Calhoun, 80 died at the Beasley Nursing Home Tuesday July the 17th, at 7 p.m., after a long illness. Mrs. Calhoun, who was a native of Illinois, was moved here <Fairhope, AL> two years ago so she could be near her son, Thomas B. Calhoun and family. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Luft, of Fort Worth, Texas; one son Thomas B. Calhoun, Fairhope; 6 grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at the chapel of Higgins Mortuary at 10:30 o'clock. Rev Underwood will officiate. Interment will be in the Fairhope Memory Gardens with Higgins Brown Service Mortuaries, Inc. in charge of arrangements. Published 1962, paper unknown, probably Fairhope, AL.
