There are several entries on rootsweb by some people for a Charlotte Eugenia Merriman born 1826. A couple more entries show she was born 2/3/1825 & christened at Dalton Congregational Church, Berkshire, Ma. 4/10/1826. These entries show she was married to a Mr. CALHONE & that her parents were Alvan Fox Merriman & Irene Terrill Tyrrell. I suspect these are all the same Charlotte. (suspect the spelling of Calhone has given these people a dead end) I emailed some of these people to see if any of them were interested in more info.

NOTE: The cemetery records in Bloomington, Il. do not show Charlotte buried with husband John Y. (J.Y.) Calhoun so possibly Charlotte is buried in Los Angeles, Ca.

   Text: Mary Calhoun married George N. Hamilton. The marriage registry of Mary & George Hamilton shows the parents of Mary as John Y. Calhoun & Charlotte Merriman. Also the registry shows Mary was 22 yrs. old when she marries so she would have been born in 1867.
