According to Ruth Truelove, daughter of Josephine Elliott and Will Smith, Edna Elizabeth Dean Owenby Elliot tmay have died around 1904-1906. She could possibly be buried in Union County, GA, or at Mt. Airy or Mt. Zion Cemetery near Dahlonega in Lumpkin Co., GA, where Will and Josephine Elliott Smith lived.

Some of her children from the first marriage may be Matilda Ownbey, who married a Ballew and J. Hugh Owenby, (Ownsby, Ownbey, etc.)

From the 1850 Census: Elizabeth Dean was living with Enoch and Mildred Hood (her grandparents) and was 15 years old. From later census records, Hollie Elliott was born c. 1866. Therefore Edna Elizabeth married an Ownbey after the census was taken in 1850 & before c. 1865, when she was married to William Elliott. I could not find either of them except in1880 Census in Union Co, GA.
