Anna Frances (Reichart) Korfhage, 80, Fern Creek, KY, died Friday, September 28, 2001, at Hurstbourne Care Center. She helped found the Fern Creek Community Library which became a branch of the Louisville Free Public Library and served as its Librarian for 29 years. She was a life member of the Kentucky Congress of Teachers and Parents and the Jefferson County Homemakers. She was also a member of Hill'n Dale Homemakers Club and Beulah Presbyterian Church. Survivors: her husband, Frank A. Korfhage; children, Mary and Phillip F. Korfhage; and two brothers, Rudolph A. and Walter E. Reichart. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was retired from Chemtron, a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church, Highland Park Masonic Lodge and Fern Creek Sportsman Club and a former Sixth District Wildlife Federation Officer. He is survived by his children, Mary and Phillip Korfhage; brother, James Korfhage; and sisters, Lillian May McCrea and Harriet Korfhage. His funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Friday.
