Note: 17 17 20"Edna wanted to go to high school so she got a job in the Hotel in Felicity (10-20 miles up hill from Chilo) so she could go to school there. Then she went to Miami University [Oxford Ohio]. When Jenny went there Edna always asked about things she remembered being there-all different by then." "This picture has a history. We lived at stony Point Ky had to go to Agusta 4 mi on horse back. I & baby were on one horse. It was so hot we had to have umbrella on us. Dad Riebel went on another horse & opened & shut 9 gates before we got to the main high way. It was quite an effort but worth it to get the baby's picture."-inscribed on back of photo of Edna, 1yr. old, now in possession of Alice Schwartz-jsa Edna stayed in Anna Louise Inn (a home for country girls in the big city) in (Cincinnati? Felicity?) There are 'Reeds' living in Chilo, neighbors to Bessie in the 1920 census. 'The Lonely Widow Reed' may have gotten inspiration here-jsa Edna was sometimes published in a column in a local paper called Poets Corner by James T. Golden. She had her own column in the Clermont Courier called Poets Nook.-jsa
