      John and Elizabeth Stato n Saddler (Sadler) had two children, Elizabeth, born in
      1782 and John, born in 1784.   John Sr. died soon after the bir th of his son.

        Elizabeth, a wido w with two small children, went with her father (Thomas
      Staton) and his family to Kentucky in 1788.   Notes suggest tha t her maiden
      name could be spelled Staton or Stayton.   Once she moved to Ke ntucky, she
      married Samuel Lewellen and moved from Kentucky to Clark Co., Indiana the n
      to Decatur Co., Indiana.
