LILLINGTON - Eloise G. Sexton, 82, died Tuesday (11/2/04). The daughter of the late Otha and Lesse Denning Gregory, she owned and operated Sexton's Department Store in Lillington along with her husband until their retirement in 1982. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and was a member of Lillington Baptist Church for more than 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, William K. "Billy" Sexton; daughter Laura Denning and husband Dan of Lillington, son Kenneth Sextonand wife Sandra of Lillington; sister Martha Carol Stephenson of Morehead City; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Lillington Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Morris and the Rev. Jeff Roberts. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at O'Quinn Peebles Funeral Home and other times at the family home. Memorials may be made to Lillington Baptist Church, P.O. Box 670, Lillington, N.C., 27546.
