Mildred Inez Holmes, 72, a Resident of Benson

Mrs. Mildred Inez Holmes, 72, of Benson died Saturday.

Born May 4, 1915 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James William and Eve Lair Bazemore. She was a member of Carolina Pines Baptist Church in raleigh.

The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, with the Rev. Glenn McCullen officiating and burial following in the cemetery at Hannah's Creek Primitive Baptist Church on Route 3, Four Oaks.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Jean Reeves of Four Oaks, Mrs. Jeannette Jones of Angier, Mrs. Lois Hardison of Lincolnton, Mrs. Theresa Harris of Salem, Ala., and Ms. Marie Holmes of Raleigh; three sisters, Mrs. Jewel Barefoot of Chester, Va., Mrs. Elizabeth Jennings of Lynchburg, Va., and Mrs. Sammie Crenshaw of Victoria, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
