BUIES CREEK -- Curtis Denning Gregory, 83, of Buies Creek, died Sunday, June 6, 2004. Mr. Gregory was an Army veteran of World War II and a farmer. He was an officer of the Harnett County Farm and Home Administration.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Buies Creek by Dr. Michael Simmons. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home of Lillington.

Mr. Gregory is survived by two sons, James C. Gregory of Buies Creek and R. Max Gregory of Coats; two daughters, Patricia Hudson of Raleigh and Sarah F. Heath of Lupburg, Germany; two sisters, Martha Stephenson of Morehead City and Eloise Sexton of Lillington; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Gregory, 1350 Fleming Road, Coats. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Buies Creek, P.O. Box 160, Buies Creek, NC 27506.
