SANFORD -- Mrs. Electa Wilson Starling Champion, 82, of 3013 Byrd Ave. died Friday in Central Carolina Hospital. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Tramway Baptist Church by the Rev. Scott Wilson. Burial will be in Lee Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Champion is survived by three sons, Curtis L. Champion and Hubert E. Champion, both of Sanford, and Donald R. Champion of Crofton, Md.; two daughters, Virginia Smith of Sanford and Peggy Flowers of Coats; a sister, Joyce Herring of Erwin; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
