LILLINGTON -- Edward Peal Gaskin, 84, of Route 1 died Wednesday. He was a retired farmer and service station operator. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Oak Grove Baptist Church, Route 2, Angier, by the Rev. Rick Jefferds. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gaskin is survived by two sons, Robert E. Gaskin and Laverne E. Gaskin, both of Lillington; two sisters, Ethel G. Byrd of Coats and Iris G. Maxwell of Lillington; a brother, Brady M. Gaskin of Willow Springs; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Overby-Johnson Funeral Home of Angier and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Gaskin, Route 1, Lillington.
Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Route 2, Angier.
