Kathleen Frances Turlington Bowden, 82, of Sanford died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehab Center of Lee County. She was born in Harnett County to the late Archibald Lee Turlington and Julia Isabel Johnson Turlington. She was preceded in death by sisters, Eloise Turlington Gregory and Margaret Turlington Gregory; and brothers, Ralph Turlington and the Rev. Coleman Turlington. Graveside service for the family will be held 4 p.m. Friday at Erwin Chapel Church Cemetery in Erwin by the Rev. James Bowden.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Roger Bowden; a daughter, Susan Kay Bowden Byerly and husband Hamp of Sanford; a brother, Bobby Turlington of Erwin; a sister, Thelma Turlington Johnson of Erwin; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
