    Ethel Gray Ferrell Watkins, 74, of Waddell Street in Selma died Wednesday. Born Aug. 5, 1930, in Johnston County, Mrs. Watkins was a daughter of the late Leonard and Lillie Cobb Ferrell. She was a dietician and a member of West Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.

    The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. The Revs. Joe Baker, Arlene Moore, David Moore and Ted Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens near Smithfield.

    Surviving are a stepson, Buddy Braswell of Smithfield; three stepdaughters, Linda Pierce and Jessie Quick, both of Raleigh, and Faye Davis of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Doris Jones of Smithfield and Pauline Byrd of Wilmington; and 12 stepgrandchildren.

    The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. today (Friday) at the funeral home.
