ERWIN -- Carlie Young Norris, 84, of 404 S. 15th St. died Monday in Good Hope Hospital. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Erwin Church of God by the Rev. Currie Parker. Burial will be in Erwin Memorial Park.

Mr. Norris is survived by his wife, Odell B. Norris of the home; a son, Tyrone Norris of Rose Hill; two daughters, Shirley Long of Atlanta, Texas, and Joyce Tew of Rock Island, Ill.; two brothers, Eugene Norris of Erwin and Herman Norris of Lillington; three sisters, Maybell Cook and Edna Butler, both of Erwin, and Leola Gaglioti of Albany, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Price Funeral Home and other times at the home.
