O.B. Currin, Jr., 84, died Friday, April 27, 2007. O.B. was born October 22, 1922 in Harnett County, NC to the late Otis Benjamin and Neva Shearman Currin. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Currin was a retired tobacco farmer and greenhouse owner.

Mr. Currin was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Currin; brothers, Earnest, Burnice, Percy, Ossie, and Grady Currin; sisters, Myrtle Earp, Lela Hockaday, Inez Matthews, and Mildred Gardner.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Rick Jefferds will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Josie Lynn Hayes Currin; grandson, Matthew Thomas Currin of Angier; sister, Betty Wallace; sister-in-law, Edith Currin; and his extended family, Bunny and Gary Dupree of Angier.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 300 East McIver Street, Angier, NC. Flowers are appreciated or contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 851 Oak Grove Church Road, Angier, NC 27501; or to Community Home Care and Hospice, 400 E.
