ANGIER -- Mrs. Lela A. Currin Hockaday, 86, of Angier died Wednesday in Hill Haven Rehabilitation Center in Raleigh. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Angier Baptist Church by the Rev. Grover K. Blackburn Jr. Burial will be in Angier Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Hockaday is survived by three sons, J. Fred Hockaday Jr. and Bennie Hockaday, both of Raleigh, and Jerry Hockaday of Angier; three sisters, Myrtle Earp and Betty Wallace, both of Angier, and Mildred Gardner of Fayetteville; four brothers, Ossie Currin of Willow Springs, O.B. Currin Jr. and Grady Currin, both of Angier, and Percy Currin of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Overby-Johnson Funeral Home.
