Tom Erwin Turlington, 63, of Coats died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. He was born Aug. 8, 1942, in Harnett County to Josephine Forbes Turlington of Dunn and the late Randall ?Buck? Erwin Turlington. He had retired from the N.C. Department of Corrections. Mr. Turlington was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dunn. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dunn by Bishop Tim Truelove. Burial will follow at the Coats City Cemetery.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Donna Wills Turlington; a daughter, Amanda Hobson and husband Jason of Erwin; sons, Will Spurlock and wife Susan of Atlanta, Scott Turlington and wife Mary Ann of Boise, Idaho; a brother, John Turlington of Newport News, Va.; sisters, Rosa West of Martinsville, Va., Bette Stephenson of Charlotte and Sue Corbett of Decatur, Ala.; and 12 grandchildren.
