Elias moved to IL and received a pension the re in which he states that he lost an arm. Mark Haus/House came from PA wi th a family named Lipe/Lippe. Mark's son, John, is supposed to have marri ed a Lipe. The abstract I have of Mark's will does not show Barbara. She m arried John G. Lipe.

    in Pa. he married into the Bast/Bost family a family that also came from G ermany, the Palatines. These families as stated before also moved South, i nto North Carolina especially. They are very Jacob-oriented, because of t he fact so many are named Jacob and John/Johannes, along with some Elias H ouse and Micajah, Archibald.

    HOUSE, NORTH CAROLINA
    IN CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. CHECK OUT THE FOLLOWING HOUSE PEOPLE: MARK HOU SE WHOSE NAME WAS MARK HAUS WHO MARRIED A ANNA MARIE BOST/BAST; ELIAS HOU SE AND A JOHN HOUSE. JOHN H OUSE MARRIED A CATHERINE MEISENHEIMER. ALSO JA COB HOUSE WHO MARRIED SARAH BARRINGER AND OF THEIR CHILDREN WAS SOPHIA HOU SE WHO MARRIED A SOLOMON FAGGART/FEHGERT. MANY OF THE HOUSE PEOPLE HAVE CO NNECTIONS WITH GERMANY OF THE EARLY 1700S BEFORE THEY CAME TO PA., AND BEF ORE THEY SETTLED IN THE SOUTH.

    Mark fought in Revolution War where he lost an arm; he was a part of found ing of Mecklenberg County, N.C.; he married Anna Marie Bost back in the 17 00s; two of his sons were John and Elias.

    This is the only one plus those others who came by way of Palatines to Pa ., then emigrated to N.C., and some emigrated from N.C. to Southern Illino is. Also this House came in the 1700s,probably mid 1700s. There were Hou se people who came from England as well, but in the 1600s.

    Johann Christian Haus, North Carolina
    Not sure about the spelling but it is believed he may have been in Baden-W urttenberg, Germany....He is believed to be related to one Mark Haus, w ho was married to Anna Marie Bost....Mark fought in the American Revolutio n, and was a residence of Mecklenberg, N.C.....Remember in the 1770s, peop le like Mark and Johann after coming to Pa. from Germany later emigrated S outh, into North Carolina. Dont know exactly where Johannes went, may be to New York, but Mark went to N.C. Mark later changed Haus to House;

    Cabarrus County, North Carolina...
    Taken from a book called "The Heritage of Cabarrus County North Carolina 1 989"
    it describes several soldiers in the Revolution War, one was Mark House. T here are a lot of people on this site, one is Barbara House, who has a l ot of information.Using some of her information, I saw one Mark House or M ark Haus, whose birthplace was in Baden, Germany; he married a Anna Mar ie Bost, the same Bosts that came out of Pa. and a lot of Germans emigrat ed to the south, into Cabarrus and Rowan County, N.C. Plug into www.family search.com and type in Mark House, or Mark Haus The clue there is either M ecklenberg or Cabarrus County, N.C.Any way Mark and Anna had a lot of chil dren. One was that of John House. Check it out.

    Believe your Margaret, was the dau. of Elias House b. ca.1765, and his fir st wife, Elizabeth Cress.
    Elias migrated to southern Illinois ca.1820, along with two of his brothe rs sons, John & Jacob.

    I have noticed that the House or Haus, along with the Troutmans, Bost, Lud wigs, and others came first from Germany and settled in Pa. and Marylan d, then as the 1700s progressed and land was there to get, that many of th em migrated south. Most of these I mentioned did settle in Rowan County, N .C., Iredell, and Cabarrus.. Maybe you could check on that for a matt er of history sake. Joseph
