>My greatgrandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Catherine Porter (1849-1916) born Shelby Co., TX, daughter of William P. Porter, granddaughter of Samuel C. Porter who came to Shelby County 1831 and is on first census of Rep. of Texas, Teneha District.
>She married an Inman and had four children by him. Another Inman researcher says her husband's name was William Inman because it was listed on death certificate of their son William Franklin Inman. Mr. Inman died in Freestone County and she move d back to Shelby County where she married William D. Dorsett (who had several children ) and had two more children. He must have died and she married J. C. Nichols Sept 12, 1889 in Rains County, TX. She divorced him after a short time and marrie d her last husband Francis Marion
Hudson May 27, 1897 in Rains County, TX. (She received Civil War pension (Appln. #25562) for his service).
She and Mr. Hudson lived in Upshur County but she died July 6, 1916 in Rains County, TX while visiting with her children.
