>A statement from a relative of Ezekial Inman, brother of Marvel, indicated that Susannah had a difficult childbirth, and that the grandmothers alternately dipped the baby in warm vinegar water and cold water until he belatedly started breathing . His father, Lazarus the elder, believed it was marvelous that he lived, hence his name, Marvel S. Inman. There is some belief that the S. applied to Susannah's family name, Stovall.

>There are two stones, one on each side of his monument, that are smooth and illegible. I presume that they are two of his children. His daughter, Louise, is buried one plot north of one of these stones. JW
