ARTICLE - Read Rose Inman's obituary.

    > Lydia was one of 7 children born to James Grenawalt and Sarah Miller Grenawalt. Lydia Rose was actually known as Rose or Rosanna in her growing up years. She was born in the 1852-3 time period (I lean towards 1852) in the Wilkes Barre, PA are a and came to Wisconsin in 1868 with the entire Grenawalt clan. Her siblings were William, Charles (my gg grandfather), Harriet, Simon Joseph, Mary Margaret, and James Wilson. All but Harriet lived to adulthood and married.
    > James Grenawalt was born in 1818 and died in Wisconsin in 1906. His wife, Sarah Miller Grenawalt, was also born in 1818 and died in Rose's house in Nov. 1912. James was the son of John Grenawalt and his wife Margaret and was born in Pennsylvan ia as well. I know nothing further of Sarah's background. We believe that John Grenawalt was the son of a Philip Grunewald and his wife Margaretha, and that John was the only child of theirs born in the US. The family came from the Mannheim, Bade n area of Germany. I think I have the family identified in German christening records, but am not certain enough of it to include them in my family tree.
    > Rose and Hiram married sometime before 1875 and had 2 children that I know of, Pearl in 1875 in Missouri, and Cora in Wisconsin in 1882. They had actually followed Rose's brother, Charles and his wife Catherine, to Missouri, where they all live d for a short time before returning to Wisconsin. I know nothing of what happened to Cora. In my records I have Pearl marrying someone named Dunlap, but for the life of me, I cannot recall how I learned that information.
