    - Family tradition, probably based on his own accounts, has it that he was captured at the ancestral home, then occupied by his widowed mother, while on furlough and recuperating from wounds and as a result of a tip by residents of the area who we re loyal to the Union.
    - Independence Co. The influence from the Taylor Family is very evident in this Inman Family. Taylor names have continued to be honored, Dark hair and Dark eyes. According to Taylor Reseachers, Parmenas Taylor, our Taylor ancestor, in TN and hi s brother Leroy were 6'6" tall with black hair and black eyes.
