  • Note:
"Life goes on. Emma (Emma Rice, born 1877 according to 1880 Census) grew up in the Inman family. When at age 18 she became engaged to Milton E. Sego, J.H. Inman gave written permission for “the girl staying at my house” to marry Milton Sego, stati ng that “her father and mother is dead”

Milton E. Sego was the son of George W. Sego and Morning Waldrup, Elisha Inman’s granddaughter who had grown up in his home. Milton was therefore a great grandson of Elisha’s. The original connection with the Segos was through Charlotta Sego, Elij ah Inman’s wife. George W. and Morning Waldrup Sego are buried in the Pleasant Hill cemetery (Whitley Co.). She died in 1900, age 67, he in 1907, age 75. According to Elizabeth Inman, who is usually right, they had five children, Susannah, Milto n E. (married Emma), Martha E. who married Benjamin Franklin Davis (minister William Sego), Sarah who married F.G. Sutton, and another child whose name is unknown. The latter child was likely James, because James and Sarah Sego were living with El ijah in 1863."

Milton Sego was paying taxes in Buchanan Co., MO, in 1901.

Elisha Inman’s daughter 'Letty' was named Lettice (as indicated in his will).
