    > Moved to Whitehall, Oceana, MI after the civil war. There is a Darius Inman marrige to Jennetta Hammond, Union Co., IN 8/4/1842.
    > Darius H. Inman was a Wesleyan Methodist Minister, ordained in NY in 1846. He removed to MI in 1865, and served as the President of the Michigan Conference of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, and later the Northern Michigan Conference of the Wesle yan Methodist for many years, until his retirement in 1894.
    > He was a staunch abolitionist, and was actively involved in the anti-slavery debate. His autobiography, printed in 1904, gives a wonderful account of the trials facing a minister in the wilds of MI. He traveled extensively throughout MI and nor thern OH in his duties as a travelling evangelist and conference president.
