    >When I was a young girl in the early 1950's I started asking questions of my Grandparents about the family. One day when visiting at Lucy Vashti Inman Shelton's home I asked her "Where did your dad get a name like Shadrick?" Without a brea k in the conversation she came back with "He was named after his Grandfather, Shadrack Inman." Having already known that Shadrick's father was Golden Inman I now had another generation of Inmans. Later as I was to discover, many folks were wonde ring who Golden's Father was.
    >Back in the mid 1960's I received a letter from a great grandaughter of Shadrick's, through his son James Inman. She was living in Poplar Bluff and was doing work for her line for the LDS. She said she thought Golden's father was Edmond Inma n of KY, but I told her I would never in MY days doubt the word of my grandmother Lucy Vashti Inman Shelton. She was very sure of herself the day she told me WHO SHADE WAS NAMED AFTER.
