Note: The Lusk Herald: Former Lance Creek resident Mrs. Clarence (Lola E.) Boston 78, died at Liberal Kan., March 26 following an illness of several months. She was born in Kansas on August 17, 1895. After World War I she moved to southern Montana and later taught school in Sheridan. She met and married Clarence R. Boston in 1925. They lived in Midwest until 1930 when the family moved to Iowa. They returned to Wyoming in 1940 and settled at Lance Creek where Mr. Boston was employed by the Humble Oil Co. They were transferred to Cutbank, Mont., and returned to Midwest in 1965. After Mr. Boston died in 1967, she moved to Santa Monica and lived there until a week prior to her death when she moved to Liberal, Kan., to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Martha Thomas. Mrs. Boston was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by three sons, James of Casper, David of Hennesey, Okla., and Doran of Aurora, Colo.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Martha Thomas of Liberal, Kan., and Anna May Boston of Santa Monica, Calif.; 1 sister, Mrs. Dena Dutton of Erie, Kan., and 1 brother, Lester Simmons of Lansing, Mich.; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. at the Bustard Funeral Home in Casper on March 30. Rev. Paul Hood of the Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens. Clem Mosier, Richard Hoy and Dale Henton were among those acting as pallbearers.
