Franklin Thomas Judd, 32, Rich Hill, died instantly Thursday at 4 p.m. when three bins of a Rich Hill grain elevator collapsed on him. Mr. Judd was welding on the bins at the time. He was born Nov. 2, 1936, northwest of Nevada, near Metz, the son of Ollie and Ruth Van Dolah Judd. Mr. Judd lived his entire life in Rich Hill, and he married Betty Gordon, Sept. 17, 1965 in Miami, Okla. Mr. Judd worked as a carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two daughters, Michele and Debra, Rich Hill; two sisters, Delores, Kansas City, Kan., and Della, Horton; three brothers, Grover, Milo; Walter, Kansas City, Kan., and Don, San Diego, Calif. Mr. Judd is also survived by his mother, Ruth Judd, Horton, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Van Dolah, Fulton, Kansas. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Rich Hill Christian Church with the Rev. George Baugh officiating. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery.
