5 Nov 1748 - listed as a soldier on the roll of Captain Thomas Sappington's Company, Prince
Georges County, MD. (Clark p27).
30 Apr 1748 (OS) - Thomas Thrasher, planter, buys from John Bell [Beall?], planter, for 1720 lbs tobacco
a parcel of 43 acres of land, beginning at the 13th line of a tract called "Discovery".

10 Nov 1749 - Thomas sells the above 43 acre parcel to Rev. John Eversfield, Rector of St. Paul's
Parish in Prince Georges Co., for 2400 lbs tobacco. Deed acknowledged by Thomas Thrasher
and Martha, his wife. (Frederick Co., MD Deeds, Liber B, Folio 115.)
1750 - "Thrasher's Lot", a parcel of 100 acres, surveyed for Thomas Thrasher in Prince Georges Co.
(later Frederick Co.). (Rice , page 63)
1751 - In the June session of the Frederick Co., MD Court, the Grand Jury presented Thomas Thrasher for cheating
Alexander Beall and John Cleckitt, inspectors, "by putting bad tobacco in one end of
a hogshead after being pickt out as bad tobacco". In the March 1751/52 session, the case
was struck off after two continuances .
15 Jan 1753 - Thomas Thrasher recorded the marks of his cattle and hogs in Frederick Co., MD (Anderson , p 4)
9 Jan 1754 - Thomas Thrasher recorded a stray bay mare taken up by him in Frederick County, MD (Anderson , p 30)
1757 - In the November Court, Thomas Thrasher was the appraiser in an attachment along with
Westall Ridgely, Nathaniel Walker, and John Radford .
16 Feb 1762 - Inventory of the Estate of John Hook. Appraisers: Joseph Ray and Joseph Simpson.
Creditors: Arthur Charlton and Charles Beatty. Next of kin: James Hook and
Thomas Thrasher. Executrix: Sarah Hook. (Maryland Perogative Court Inventories;

20 Aug 1765 - Thomas Thrasher of Fred. Co and wife Martha deed to James Hook of Frederick Co.,
for 31 pounds 8 shillings of sterling money and 35 shillings of current money, a tract
of 78 acres, the part of "Thrasher's Chance" which lay north of the Harper's Ferry

10 Nov 1794 - Thomas Thrasher & Martha sell Eli Thrasher, for 5 shillings, a one acre parcel,
part of "Thrasher's Chance". (Frederick Co., MD Deeds, Book 12, page 598.)

1797 - The remainder of "Thrasher's Chance" and "Thrasher's Lott" was re-surveyed for Thomas

24 Feb 1797 - Thomas Thrasher and his wife Martha sell a 54 acre parcel, part of "Enough
and to Spare", for 100 pounds current money, to Benjamin Thrasher. (Frederick
Co., MD Deeds, Book 15, page 95.)
1798 - Frederick County Assessment, Lower and Middle Kittoctin Hundreds includes
Thomas Thrasher, pt "Enough and to Spare" 51a, Resurvey on "Lott" and "Thrasher's

1800 - Thomas listed in census Frederick Co., MD
12 Jun 1804 - Elias and Eli Thrasher present will for probate. (Frederick Co, MD Wills, Book
GMRB #1, page 31.) Thomas Thrasher's land in Frederick County was
adjacent to that of Westall Ridgely. Three children of Thomas and Martha Thrasher
married children of Westall Ridgely.
