CHARLES BODKIN SECOND SON OF RICHARD BODKIN SR.
Charles Bodkin was born approximately 1737- 1739 in Virginia. The only information obtained about Charles is that he had two daughters. At this point one must assume one of two things, either he moved from Augusta-Highland area or he died at an early age. Which of these actually happened is conjecture. There are three Charles listed in other locations that possibly could have been this Charles. One of these was found in Hampshire County, Virginia and the second in hardy County, West Virginia. The third Charles mentioned was in Kentucky, where a Charles Bodkin was granted 100 acres of land for three years service as a soldier in the Virginia line. This grant came under the warrenty number 2832, which was dated March 27, 1784.
