Mississippi Industrial Training School at Columbia, Ms. Chester later married Alice "Snooks"
Rich, who was born on 10 JAN 1913 and died in Memphis in FEB of 1978.
Chester was a river boat pilot on the Mississippi River.

Chester Milton Magsig of 147 Stonewall died at 11:05 p.m.
Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital after a short illnes. He was 52.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. tommorrow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Memphis Memorial Park with Memphis Funeral Home
Mr. Magsig was born in DeWitt, Ark., and had lived in Memphis 30 years.
He was a master river boat pilot for Port City Towing Co. of Grennville,
Miss. He was a communicant of the Catholic Church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Alice Marie Magsig of 904 Jackson; his mother
and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Merchant of 1535 Jackson; a son,
Jerry Magsig of 1309 Wilbec; two sisters, Miss Gladys Magsig of
211 Kenilworth and Mrs. Annie Dale of Decaturville, Tenn.; a brother,
Theodore Magsig of Arlington, Va, and three grandchildren.
Tennessee Death certificate # 5521 for the year 1965 confirms the
information on Chester and his parents. It also lists his Social Security
number as 409-26-7354.
