RUSSELL MACK CUMBERLAND, age 65, of Little Rock died
Friday, Oct. 4, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann,
of 43 years. He was a member of Highland Valley United
Methodist Church and a Navy veteran. He was a graduate of
University of Arkansas with a degree in Civil Engineering,
the Vice President of Caldwell Culvert Company, former member of
Arkansas General Contractors, National Corrugated Steel Pipe
Association, Board Chairman ACEA, former member of University
of Arkansas Alumni Association, past President of Alpha Tau Omega
Fraternity, former member of Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineering,
member of the American Society of Civil Engineering, charter member
of the Reagan Ranch and patented his own invention of a
beverage container adapter.
Survivors include daughters -- Dale Allen and husband John of
North Little Rock, Julie Cumberland of Bismarck; son, Russell
Cumberland and wife Diane of Cedar Park, Texas; daughter,
Sherry Cumberland of Little Rock; and mother, Flossye Beck of
Little Rock; sister, Shirley Nelson and husband Horace of
Fort Pierce, Fla.; granddaughters -- Holly, Rachel, and Kristi Allen.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Highland Valley United
Methodist Church with Dr. Kurt Boggan officiating.
Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Bob Wilson, Jim Neal, Bob Hardin,
Conrad Longfellow, Kent Ingram, and Keith Ingram.
