** 108A. Nancy and Henry are buried in the Kingery Cemetery, Greasy Ridge, Lawrence Co., OH. The name on the tombstone is spelled "Kingry". Henry donated the land for the Kingery Cemetery, which he owned through a Land Grant Deed dated July 28, 1838, signed by the President of the United States, Martin Van Buren. They had nine children. It is interesting to note that three of their sons served in the Civil War and all three were mustered in and out on the same date and same place.

Dear Henry S. Dillon,
Thank you for the information you sent via e-mail about Elizabeth Sowards and William Cyrus Dillon.
Elizabeth Sowards' sister Sarah, in her marriage to James Roach, and William Cyrus Dillon's sister Nancy, in her marriage to Henry Franklin Kingery, Sr., are great great great grandparents of Paula, as you probably know or could quickly figure out. So Paula is great great great grandniece of both Elizabeth and William. (Paula is also a 1st cousin five times removed of both William Cyrus and Nancy Dillon, and a secondcousin three times removed of James Roach.)
We talked to Jewel Callicoat Cabana, Paula's aunt and author of Callicott Connections II, this evening. She and her husband Maurice, who live near Ft. Lauderdale, FL, were safely evacuated and well cared for during the time that Hurricane Frances was passing through. Ours was the first phone call that had gotten through to them after the storm.
Jewel said that she had already sent you any photos of Dillon family members that she had. She said that she had thought you were preparing a book. We suggested to her that you had probably decided instead to publish on the worldwide web, and mentioned both your database posted at rootsweb.com and your photo site.
We know of no Bibles or letters or diaries or memoirs pertaining to Callicoat and associated families, including Dillon, that are available from Paula's immediate or near family. (We do know of some for Max, and agree that such documents often have great value as sources of family history and genealogy.) Jewel, so far as we know, built up her genealogical database through communication with family members and visits to gravesites, churches, courthouses, and the like.
We will keep you in mind if anything turns up. In the meantime, Good hunting!
